The Volvo XC90 Car Review
In this new car review, we will look at the Volvo XC90. The Mazda CX9, Kia Sorento, Audi Q7, BMW X5, and the Volvo XC90 look very much alike. This leads some to say, “they’re the same car” but, there are some not so subtle differences. Some differences you have to test drive to discover.
The Volvo XC90 manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP): $47,700 compared to other look-alikes:
Mazda CX9 MSRP: $45,365
BMW X5 MSRP: $60,700
Audi Q7 MSRP: $50,875
Toyota 4Runner MSRP: $46,155
Although the MSRP is about the same with all these besides the BMW, which you’re likely just paying for the name, the Volvo offers incredible value for the price.
Volvo is known for creating high quality, affordable luxury vehicles. These are mechanical marvels that last for decades, and these sensible machines look amazing while doing it.
The new 2019 Volvo XC90 is another amazing addition to their lineup of vehicles. This midsize SUV has all the bells and whistles you could ever want in a car while also providing the best security possible.

Performance
The performance of the Volvo XC90 is relatively decent. The most significant piece of information to take from this car review is that if you choose the base engine, it’s not that impressive.
The standard turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine pumps out 250 horsepower and is acceptable as a family vehicle. Upgrade to the T6 version, and you’ll bump up your horsepower to 316. The best, however, is the 400-hp plug-in hybrid version of the vehicle which adds two electric motors for some serious power.

Car Review: Interior
Expect a luxury interior in this Volvo because that’s what you’re going to get. It comes standard with a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system and also has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The Driver’s cockpit is fabulous, roomy and convenient.

While the first two rows of seats have plenty of room, the third back row is a bit smaller and would be best for younger children or shorter people. Plus, the built in baby seat is tremendous asset for those with an infant.

Safety
Rated as a top safety pick from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), the Volvo XC90 uses forward-collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, park assist, automated emergency braking, and rear cross-traffic alert systems to help keep you safe. The XC90 also has standard airbag deployment systems.
Reliability
The Volvo XC90 rates as a reliable vehicle, though JD Powers rates it 2/5. Volvo is known for having high-quality materials in their vehicles, which guarantees that the vehicle is always going to be ready whenever you need it. Volvo is also known for having great warranty options as well.
Warranty
Volvo likes to ensure that their customers are going to be happy, which is why they provide access to amazing options. The limited plan covers the vehicle for four years, or 50,00 miles, while all hybrid components in this SUV get covered for 100,000 or 8 years. Owners of this vehicle will also receive complimentary maintenance for three years as well.

Should I Buy the Volvo XC90?
The Volvo XC90 is a fantastic luxury vehicle at an affordable price. While it’s not considered by “experts” to be the best midsize luxury SUV, they do agree that for the price you will not find anything better. A low-cost, luxurious ride in a seven-seater, this vehicle is a must-have vehicle for those looking for a luxury SUV.
So, What’s Missing?
With the Volvo XC90, all you really need is the best dash cam available. In our opinion, that is the Vantrue N2 Pro Dual Front & Rear Dash Cam. When you want easy installation, GPS, night vision, motion detectors with G-sensor lock capability so that you don’t overwrite crucial footage, this dash cam is all you need.
